A Zambian aquaculturist, ALEXANDER SHULA KEFI has been appointed to serve on the board of directors of the World Aquaculture Society (WAS)
Dr. KEFI’s appointment as Regional Director for Southern Africa follows his successful nomination and election to the African Chapter of the World Aquaculture Society board of directors.
In a congratulatory letter to Dr KEFI by African Chapter President Dr. SHERIF SADEK, Dr KEFI’s role as regional director is to manage the business affairs of aquaculture in the Southern African Region.
Dr. KEFI who is also Project Coordinator for the Zambia Aquaculture Enterprise Development Project (ZAEDP), hold a Masters Degree and Doctorate of Philosophy in Aquaculture and Fisheries Science.
Zambia is leading as number one in aquaculture production in the Southern Region and number 5 in Africa.
