Animal Vaccine production
Description of service: The institute produces animal vaccines in order to contribute to the attainment of sustainable livestock production and disease control.
Full description of service: The institute is involved in development and production of animal vaccines. Currently the vaccines being produced include Newcastle Disease Vaccine (I-2 vaccine) for village chickens, Black quarter (BQ) vaccine for cattle, Haemorrhagic Septicaemia (HS) vaccine for cattle, Anthrax vaccine for cattle, Rabies vaccine for dogs and cats, East Coast fever (ECF) stabilates for cattle. In addition, the institute produces Soya Inoculum (a bio-fertiliser) used in Soya bean production.
